Quick Facts

Quick information about our church. Welcome!

We are an “Interdenominational Church”, which means we come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some of us have never been in church before now. The Bible is our source for decisions for both our church and our individual lives.
Fostering a Spirit of Unity in the Community by Sharing the Love of God. You see, it’s not about our church or any church, for that matter, it’s about the Kingdom of God, your life and all of us working together to share God’s love.
Loving People, Changing Lives! Everything we do around here is focused on sharing God’s love. For we are all broken people (thanks to Adam & Eve!), but God’s love transforms us into some pretty special people. After all, we ARE made in God’s image and likeness, and He has a plan for each of our lives!
Pastors Riley and Ann Grandell became church leaders during their professional careers in Texas and in Fort Lauderdale, and ultimately, God called them to work full time as Pastors and start a church here in Bonita Springs in 2003.
Absolutely, we care! Here are some of the ways we reach out to the many hurting people around us: Love in the Name of Christ (“Love INC”) as co-founders of this non-profit group, we are thrilled that 19 local churches have joined to come alongside people in need in order to transform their lives and ultimately, the community. Blessing our Community: “Blessing bags” containing toiletries, God loves you wrist band, a Ticket to Heaven and loads of God’s love are given out to home-challenged, people in recovery, and others in need. “Blessed to be a Blessing” provides a way for people to receive (or purchase at a discount) newer, gently used furniture or household items. All proceeds are used for benevolence. Anyone who receives something they needed are encouraged to do something to bless others since God blessed them. Bread & Pastries are provided nearly every weekend for our church family and more importantly, to share with friends, neighbors, emergency responders, and especially for anyone who might be struggling (Thank you, Publix and Fresh Market!). In 2014, our church family distributed over ten tons of food to our community! We also believe it is important to form partnerships with other non-profit organizations that have a heart to bless our community or others around the world. We provide prayer and/or resources to these great organizations: AMI Big Cypress (“Swamp Boys”) – rehabilitation program for first-time offenders (boys age 14 to 17) Bonita Springs Assistance Office – social service agency providing emergency services Café of Life & Catholic Charities – meets basic needs of the less fortunate; COL provides a daily meal Catalyst Ministry – ministry to prisoners throughout Florida David Lawrence Center – provides services for mental health and substance abuse Dream Makers for Life – provides hope to seriously and terminally ill children Harvest Time Ministry – outreach to local migrant farm work families Pregnancy Resource Centers – provides Godly counsel regarding childbirth and relationships International Ministries: Kazakhstan Mission – Preston, Ella & Julia Shaw – Missionary family Our leaders are accountable to a Board of Directors as well as to several seasoned, well-respected Pastors who have proven personal integrity. Most importantly, as our church family works together, we’ve seen countless lives changed by the love of God and by the miracles He works in our lives. All we can say is…..TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Come join the fun (okay, there’s hard work involved, too!). When you “get connected” to our church family, watch your life change and many other lives at the same time. As we say all the time around here: God loves you, and WE love you! (Otherwise known as “3 Squeezes X 2”)! May God bless you abundantly!
Yes! The Scripture which drives all we do is this: “Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39 Love is an action word and there’s a lot of love in action around here!
Absolutely! That’s one of the most important things we do. We’ve seen so many miracles, we’ve lost count…all as a result of prayer and just trusting God. We love you and care about what’s going on in your life. So let us know how we can pray for you and with you! Just write your request on the blue prayer sheets and place in the offering. Make sure you tell us when your prayers get answered so we can celebrate with you!
We know that it’s imperative for every person to have their own personal relationship with God. The best way to learn about God, Jesus (God’s Son) and the Holy Spirit is by reading God’s Word. An easy way to do that is to read (or listen to) the One Year Bible. Ask us for details!
There’s always lots going on and there’s something for everyone: Men, Women, Youth & Young Adult, Children, Bible Study, Worship & Arts, Techie Work, Care Groups, and of course…lots of food! All events are listed on the calendar in the bulletin and on our website: www.thegulfshorechurch.com
